The CMB adapter is a central connecting element for the AROMAT Cafe BiB (Bag in Box), which is used in many gastronomy and catering sectors. The AROMAT Cafe BiB is equipped with a special CMB connection (Circular Medium Beverage connection) designed to be particularly user-friendly and safe to handle.
To extract the liquid coffee concentrate from the BiB, the CMB adapter is attached to this connection. It creates the connection between the box’s internal outlet valve and the desired dispensing device.
The CMB adapter can be used either with or without a machine.
Use with FK (liquid coffee) machines from Kaffee-Konzepte
In this case, the Cafe BiB is inserted directly into an FK machine. The CMB adapter ensures that the coffee extract flows from the BiB into the machine, where it is mixed with precisely tempered and dosed water to produce consistly good quality black coffee. This process is particularly practical for businesses with high coffee consumption, as it allows quick operation and ensures hygienic safety.
Manual use without a machine
If no FK machine is used, the CMB adapter serves as a handy pourer. It is securely attached to the Cafe BiB, enabling clean, controlled dispensing of the coffee extract. The extract is then mixed with hot water in a defined ratio – for iced coffee, with cold water – to produce consistently good quality black coffee. This can then be filled into thermos flasks or other containers. This method is particularly advantageous for mobile use or at events without permanently installed machines.
The CMB adapter is characterized by its robust, food-safe construction, which is easy to clean and offers a long service life. Its precise fit prevents unwanted leakage and ensures a secure connection between the bag-in-box and the outlet. To adapt their coffee machines to the CMB system, the company Kaffee-Konzepte now equips its liquid coffee machines with a new cleaning system, which saves both labor and time. As before, no cleaning agents are required – only hot water from the machine.
